Some 25 ladies attended the baking demonstration by Chef Siti Mastura, organised by Jamiyah Singapore’s Women & Family Department on Saturday, 5^th November 2016.

The session that was held at JBS International College (JBSIC) saw the participants engaged as she taught them how to bake Fresh Mango Roll Cake.

 The participants were also enlightened with tips on using the right techniques to prevent the common disappointment of the roll cake falling apart, such as folding butter into the batter with one’s bare hand and not over mixing.

 At the end of the 2-hour demonstration, some of Chef Siti’s signature bake goods were available for sale, including its premixes the traditional Malay kueh, ‘Putri Salat’. The premixes, under the label Vanilla, were initially introduced by Chef Siti with an aim to assist single mothers to earn an income
